Rylee’s McDonald’s Review: France

Today for our assignment we went to McDonald’s to see what was different from ours! Some differences are that everything is on a screen to order and you could not order from a person. We also noticed that McDonald’s employees serve you your food. When we got our food, we realized instead of recyclable containers for food there are reusable containers that you have to return. We looked it up and the reason for this is that it is the law in France that fast food restaurants are required to make less waste.

Another thing is that once you order your main meal (I ordered a Royal Deluxe which is a 100% pure beef and 100% French minced steak burger, with fresh onions, salad, tomatoes, and mustard sauce) you get a side of another burger, chicken nuggets or a Croque McDo. I got the Croque McDo, it was thinly cut toast with cheese and ham in the middle finished with another slice of toast. For a drink I picked Orange Fanta, there was a law that your not allowed to get refills because there trying to keep people healthy. For dessert there were lemon and chocolate macrons! Overall I liked France’s McDonald’s better than Canada’s.
