The big city lights of Shanghai

Shanghai

Shanghai is a large city covering about 6,340.5 square kilometers, the population is 29 to 30 million people! Shanghai is just bigger then the province Prince Edward Island which has approximately 5,686 square kilometers and Canada’s whole population is nearly 41.6 million!

We went up the Oriental Pearl which is 1,536 feet high! The tower has a glass floor that reaches over 850 feet high, they also have a revolving restaurant but this time we decided not to go. The Oriental Pearl is the 5th tallest television tower in the world.

Food

We try to eat lots of traditional food in the countries we visit, so one night were out looking for something to eat and we found Peking Duck. Peking Duck has thin crispy skin and yummy meat, it was delicious we even made little wraps out of it with some duck, rice, and veggies.

G16 Bullet Train

The G16 bullet train can reach up to 350km/h! The bullet train is the fastest train in the world, it travels about 1,318 km in four and a half hours for nearly the same amount of kilometers we can drive from Calgary to Winnipeg in a car and it takes about 13 hours. The nose of a bullet train reaches 10-15 meters, it’s inspired by the kingfisher beak to go a lot faster. We could order food from restaurants at every stop but we had to do it in a time limit so that they can prepare and deliver the food in time. The train also had a dinning car where we could order food and drinks.
